theturtlelip said: Wow great shots. Way to work those angles. My fuji camera doesn't take shots like that...haha. Do you do any editing on your computer to these pictures? If you don't mind me asking that is. I want to up my game a bit and can always use tips:)
Hi there, I haven’t been on in awhile so my apologies for the delayed reply…
I mainly shoot with an Olympus OM-D E-M5, but I also shoot film as well. I like to shoot in manual mode as to have the most control over the shots while in camera, but I will edit things a bit further using Lightroom, and sometimes Photoshop. I find that Lightroom 4 provides more than enough post processing power in order to achieve a certain look I may be after, but if I need to do serious editing I’ll use Photoshop.
I don’t edit or adjust anything too wildly, I will generally add more contrast, up the saturation a bit, and play with the clarity in order to have a nice vibrant/crisp image. I will also adjust the color temperature as well as its tint in order to “color correct” an image whos white balance may be off a bit.
I try to get my shots as perfect as I can with the camera. So I focus on what framing I want as well as what exposure settings are needed. I also have my camera shoot/store a RAW file as well as JPEG file. The JPEG allows me to play around with camera effects as well as shoot in B&W, and the RAW file allows for more in depth editing on the computer.
Well I hope I wasn’t too long winded! and also thank you for your kind words! Its always nice to hear that someone enjoys your stuff.
Good luck with your photographic endeavors! I will be sure to follow your blog as well!
All the best,
